Apparently after downloading a couple of patches to update my drivers to resolve an issue with DirectX and my video card, I somehow contracted a trojan virus last Friday (01/09). Oh and the virus was very generous in bringing some of it's very best friends such as spyware and malware. Forgetting that I have two hard drives with corrupted sectors, I had a horrible time attempting to reformat both of them (obviously, but was worth a try or two... million). I was unable to get beyond service pack 1 when installing Windows XP.
After much wasted effort, I ended up throwing in the towel and ordered a new internal hard drive to unravel this mayhem. My new piece of hardware should arrive today; however in the meantime, I've been salvaging my losses as I didn't finish archiving all of my data.

I'm so sorry to hear about the virus on your hard drive. What a drag! Glad you were able to salvage this wonderful illustration! You can almost tell by step 2 of your process that it'll look super awesome when you're done!!!! Keep it up buddy.
