In the attempts of following Muniz's footsteps in coloring, I've completely immersed myself in his approach by initially blocking in values and gradually building up the piece. Normally I'd sketch, refine, clean, and then paint.

Thank you much :) Heh. Out of all the things to paint, the hair is by far the easiest and most fun for me. I'm still figuring out exactly why though~

Thanks man. Yeah, I have the same sentiments. However I don't know if I could ever give up laying down an initial sketch. Learning different techniques is definitely providing me with a much greater understanding overall though.
I'm going to begin dipping into environments and heavily experimenting with this approach.
